In the future, Anyone Can Become A Movie Star

In the future, movie stars will perform long after they’re dead. Boring! This is something we’ve all known has been coming for decades. The technology is approaching the point where this will be possible and cost effective. However, the more interesting use of the technology is that anyone can become a movie star, or at least some digital version of themselves.

Like machines that can turn someone’s voice into a better singer, we’ll be able to capture our likeness then alter ourselves within a computer to become more appealing on the screen. A little taller, a little skinnier, more muscular, younger, older, etc. Whatever the role calls for.

Part, or all, of the movie could be created digitally. Our 90 year old self could make an action movie with the digital assets of our 40 year old self. A 3 hour period piece in 12th century Spain? All we need is a few more good stories.
